We want blogs.com.au to be a web site that people come to, to find Australian blogs. Simple and logical, we know.
The first stage is what you see here right now. A search box powered by Google that is limited to searching the list of 1000+ blogs that we know are Australian and The Local our blog discussing all things AU blogging.
The next stage (June 2006) of this site's development will be to create a tag based directory where we do a big drive to find as many Australian blogs as we can. A short while after that, once we have a larger sample of local blogs, we'll turn on the RSS powered update tracker to make finding the latest blog post easier.
The final stage will be to launch a much more powerful search facility.
